CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M. Holy Communion will be celebrated during weekend services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.The youth group will collect donations of canned goods on Sunday for the "Souper Bowl of Caring." COMMUNITY LIFE Sign-ups are now available for the small groups at Community Life Church, which meets at McQuistion Elementary School. COVENANT PRESBY The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated during the Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. Sunday also is Hymn Sing Sunday.The church will participate in the "Souper Bowl of Caring" on Sunday. After the 11 a.m. Sunday service, young people of the church will collect donations in soup pots. Proceeds will be donated to the Community Dinners and the Covenant Cupboard Food Bank.The annual corporation meeting of the church will be held at 12:05 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary.The film "Life is Beautiful" will be shown in the Assembly Room at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be snacks and discussion. Admission is a food item for the Covenant Cupboard Food Bank.

FAITH U.P. Members of Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township, will collect boxes of cereal Sunday for the Souper Bowl of Caring. Donations will be given to the Covenant Food Cupboard.A catered fellowship meal will be held after the Sunday service.

FIRST BAPTIST A women's Bible study for First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at the home of Judy Hemphill."Satan — Deceiver and Tempter" will be the theme of the Women's Missionary Fellowship meeting on Tuesday at the Baptist Youth Center. Delores Hilgar will be the speaker at both sessions. Darlyne Hughes and Carol Stamm will serve as the respective hostesses for the 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. sessions. Cards will be prepared for shut-ins, and projects will be undertaken for missionaries Cathy Bristol and Norma Nulph.

FIRST U.M. Sign-ups are now available for winter elective courses at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN Holy Communion will be served at both Sunday services at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. ST. MARY R.C. CHURCH St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 W. High St., Kittanning, will have a traditional Blessing of Throats at 8 a.m., noon and 7 p.m. Friday. Since it is the first Friday of the month, the celebration of the Masses will be at 8 a.m. and noon. At 7 p.m. there will be Sacred Heart Devotions and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

ST. PETER'S EPISCOPAL Beginning Feb. 1, the time of the Wednesday Communion service with healing prayers at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., has been changed to 6:15 p.m.The Sacrament of Confirmation will be held March 12. Anyone wishing to begin confirmation classes should contact the church as soon as possible.

ST. RICHARD R.C. CHURH On Sunday, St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, will celebrate Scout Sunday by honoring all Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their leaders.
