Dean and Betty Huselton of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage Dec. 18 with an open house at Penn Glade Lions Park in Penn Township.

The former Betty Hamilton married Huselton Dec. 20, 1945, at Nixon United Methodist Church in Nixon.

They have six children, Florence Jaksec, Linda Russell, Jan Plaisted, Ann Hays, Deb Huselton and David Huselton, all of Butler.

They also have 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Huselton is retired from his work as a general contractor. He belongs to First Methodist Church of Butler, Penn Glade Lions Club, United Commercial Travelers and the Elks Club.

Mrs. Huselton is a homemaker. She plays organ and piano for Oak Hills Christian Church and Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She also belongs to Penn Township Woman's Club, Penn Glade Lions, Oak Hills Garden Club, Coins Club Bowling League and the Order of the Eastern Star, Maqueda chapter.

The couple belongs to the Butler Old Stone House chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America and volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
