Sophie Pacek of Cabot will celebrate her 90th birthday Saturday with a dinner with family and friends at King's Family Restaurant in Sarver.

The former Sophie Tomaszewski was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Pittsburgh. Her husband, Emil Pacek, is deceased.

She has a son, David Pacek of Suwanee, Ga.

Mrs. Pacek is retired.

She is a member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God Church in Buffalo Township and serves as an usher at Concordia Haven II Chapel in Cabot.

Pacek also serves in the Angel on Call program at Concordia and enjoys baking, cooking and sending cards.
