Veronica "Vee" Holly of Chicora, celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a family dinner hosted by her daughter-in-law, Joann Ritzert. Ritzert and Holly's granddaughters also hosted a birthday luncheon which was also held at the Chicora Commons. A celebration for remaining family and friends is planned this summer.

The former Veronica Geagan was born Jan. 14, 1916. She married Charles Holly Sr. on Oct. 14, 1940. He is deceased.

A son, Charles Holly Jr., is also deceased.

Holly has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Another great-grandchild is deceased.

Mrs. Holly worked at Butler Memorial Hospital from 1971 to 1980. She also worked at Hutchison's Dry Cleaners.
