Arthur R. Brown
Arthur R. Brown, 73, of Adams Township, formerly of Middlesex Township, died Tuesday afternoon at Worthington at Adams.
Born in Richland Township, Jan. 5, 1932, he was the son of James H. and Mary Garraux Brown.
He had been a self-employed truck driver and had served in the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Brown was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. He also belonged to the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Nemes Brown, whom he married June 23, 1962; a son, Richard A. Brown and his wife, Lynn, of Middlesex Township; two daughters, Mrs. Merle "Bud" (Laura J.) Hickey of Saxonburg and Shirley A. Brown of Enon Valley, and five grandchildren, Samantha and Bonni Brown and Timothy, Maggie and Carlee Hickey.
A brother, Charles Brown and his wife, Margaret, of Gibsonia; a sister-in-law, Elaine Brown of Middlesex Township; his dog, Sadie; and his cats, Mya and Poe, also survive.
A brother, William J. Brown, preceded him in death.
BROWN — Friends of Arthur R. Brown, who died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8, with the Rev. Ted Martin and the Rev. Donn Ed officiating. Burial will be at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Health Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237; or to Worthington at Adams, 500 Seven Fields Blvd., Mars, PA 16046.
