12:37 a.m. Thursday — Keith McLean, no age given, of Stafford, Va., was arrested following a traffic stop on Highfield Road.Police said McLean, who initially gave officers a fictitious name, is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities and several traffic violations.McLean, meanwhile, is wanted on warrants in Ohio on protection from abuse-related charges. Ohio authorities plan to extradite him, police said. He remains in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Thursday — Police reported a 34-year-old Butler man, who they did not identify, is suspected of writing several bad checks that he passed at Fairground Market on Route 422 in Prospect. The checks, totaling $935, were bounced between Aug. 26 and Oct. 18.Tuesday — Someone between Jan. 6 and Tuesday stole gasoline from a pickup truck parked at a Central Electric substation on Route 422 East in Clearfield Township. More gas and wire was also taken out of a utility trailer.

1:08 a.m. Wednesday — Keath Sherbondy, 26, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Tower and Brent roads in Springfield Township, Mercer County.8 p.m. Tuesday — Kenneth Anderson, no age given, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck an embankment and overturned on Old Ash Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
