Hilliard nets 1,000th point in Union win

Kyle Hilliard scored 24 points, putting him over the 1,000-point plateau in his career, and added 15 rebounds to power the Union boys basketball team to a 65-57 victory over Karns City Monday.

Gary Cooper added 12 points and Billy Burns had 10 points and seven assists for Union (8-5).

The Gremlins (5-9) got 16 points from Steve Black, including five 3-pointers, and 13 points from Cameron Turner.
