Floyd "Gene" and LaVaunna "Bonnie" Aites of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former LaVaunna Wagner married Aites on July 16, 1955, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Karns City.

They have three children, Valerie Hill and Kim Tavares, both of Butler, and Floyd "Gene" Aites of Papillion, Neb.

They also have four grandchildren.

Aites is retired from Keffalas, where he worked as a contractor and from Trader Horn.

Mrs. Aites is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to the Church of God of Prophecy in Karns City.
