1:58 a.m. Sunday — Quentin Scott, 31, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at Chestnut and Cunningham streets. He was also cited for careless driving.9:59 a.m. Saturday — A van driven by James Lauricia, 22, of Butler struck a car parked on West Penn Street. Lauricia was cited for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle. Eric Miller of Butler owns the car.8:59 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Chrystal Minda, 21, of Oakland Township and a pickup truck driven by Mary Nanni, 41, of Butler collided on South McKean Street.Minda, who has a learner's permit, was cited for driving without anyone else in her car. Susan Rodgers of Butler, who owns the car, was cited for not having insurance on the vehicle.

1:07 a.m. Sunday — Jeffrey Allen Smith, 34, of Butler was arrested for allegedly ransacking several vehicles on Randolph Street. A neighbor reported the thefts and called police.Officers about 40 minutes later caught Smith, who was in possession of some of the stolen property, including prescription medication. Smith is charged with theft from motor vehicles, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.Police noted that Smith allegedly took items from vehicles on Randolph Street, Peterson Street, Pittsburgh Road and Bredin Avenue.Not all the victims have claimed their property. Police advise that anyone in the Lyndora area that had property taken from their vehicles to call the police station at 724-285-9600.4:39 a.m. Saturday — Jeremy Robert Swank, 25, of Vandergrift, Westmoreland County was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8 at the Bon Aire Plaza.

11:20 p.m. Sunday — James Richard Henry, 34, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle skidded off ice-covered Stone Church Road in Muddy Creek Township and struck a utility pole, which was sheared off in the crash.Police said Henry drove off after the crash. In addition to DUI, Henry faces hit-and-run charges.Travis Flinner, 34, of Prospect, a passenger in the vehicle, was treated for moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.2:15 p.m. Sunday — Donald Houtz, 43, of West Sunbury was arrested following an argument at an Oneida Valley Road home in Center Township during which he allegedly threatened Ronald Hays Sr., 46, of Butler and a 15-year-old boy, who police did not identify.Houtz was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond.2:45 a.m. Sunday — Jesse Lee Kelly, 24, of Renfrew was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 356 and Alameda Road in Butler Township.12:13 a.m. Sunday — Melinda Joan Bateman, 32, of Pittsburgh was arrested for driving under the influence after her vehicle crashed along Winfield Road in Winfield Township and became struck in a small creek.8:40 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Christine Shanor, no age given, of Slippery Rock traveled over an embankment and struck a cluster of trees along Route 108 near Crocker Road in Worth Township. Shanor was cited for careless driving and a lane violation.8:36 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Amanda Miller, 24, of Slippery Rock crashed and rolled onto its roof on Route 38 in Cherry Valley.2:50 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Lenita Day, 28, of Karns City and Joseph Mauro, 45, of Chicora collided on Route 38 near Allen Lane in Oakland Township.2:06 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Brian Payment Jr., 16, of Butler struck an embankment, mailbox and tree along Hinchberger Road in Summit Township.1:21 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Deborah Bowser, 42, and a pickup truck driven by Joel Swigart, 35, both of Butler, collided on Route 8 near Boomerang Driver in Mercer Township.8:20 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by a 16-year-old Butler boy, who police did not identify, struck a bridge abutment on Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. The boy was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:20 a.m. Saturday — Gary McGinnis, 33, of Foxburg, Armstrong County, was arrested for driving under the influence after he was found asleep in his vehicle on Route 268 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.Saturday — Someone between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday stole a fence at the Hannahstown Road home of Linda Wilker in Jefferson Township.Saturday — Someone between 10 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday vandalized a pair of mailboxes and support posts along Elliot Road in Center Township. Gary Garman and James Kummer own the damaged property.5:47 p.m. Friday — Kimbery Anick, 45, of Pole, Venango County, was arrested for driving under the influence and without headlights at Mercer and Duffy roads in Center Township.Anick, who was wanted on a bench warrant for a DUI case in Lawrence County, is charged with DUI, driving without headlights, careless driving and driving without a license.12:20 p.m. Friday — Assorted Christmas ornaments, a shirt and a child board game were taken from a vehicle at the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township. Rebecca Watterson of Butler owns the stolen property.9:30 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Sheryl Vogt, 50, of Butler struck a utility pole along Marwood Road in Winfield Township.9:20 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Sandra Brown, no age given, of Portersville struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township. Brown, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.7:44 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Richard Cunningham, 50, of Verona, Allegheny County, struck a tree along Route 38 in Washington Township.2:20 a.m. Friday — Karen Kelly, 43, of Wexford was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Friday — Someone used a blunt object to smash several mailboxes along Sunmine Road in Clinton Township.5:55 p.m. Thursday — Dennis Young, 56, of East Brady, Clarion County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck collided with another pickup at South Fairview and Main streets in Fairview.Young, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. Ronald Dodd, 26, of Karns City, was driving the other pickup.5:15 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured in a four-vehicle collision on North Duffy Road near Cornell Drive in Center Township.The crash occurred when a car driven by Rick Kriess, 29, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by Wilber Heist, 60, of Butler. The collision pushed the SUV into the rear of a car driven by Larry Bruner, 52, of Slippery Rock. Bruner's vehicle, in turn, was pushed into the back of a car driven by Eugene Valerio, 62, of Butler.Police said Kriess was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.12:15 p.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Richard Saeler, 54, of Butler Township struck a median and embankment and rolled onto it roof on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Tuesday — An unidentified vehicle between 8 and 9 p.m. struck a mailbox, owned by Cleora Barron, along Keister Road in Cherry Township, and did not stop following the crash.Jan. 1 — Nothing was reported taken in a burglary between Dec. 19 and Jan. 1 at the New Castle Street home of Jackson Howard in Slippery Rock. The unknown burglar kicked the door in, causing about $200 in damage.1:12 p.m. Dec. 31 — An Eskimo soap carving was taken from the Wagon Wheel Antiques store along Route 8 in Middlesex Township. The unknown thief is described as a white man with gray and white hair and mustache. He was wearing glasses and possibly driving a white Dodge van.

6:20 p.m. Saturday — Theodora Edwin Cook II, no age given, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 62 in East Lackawannock Township, Mercer County.Police said Cook's blood-alcohol level was 0.302 percent, or 3½ times the legal limit of 0.08 percent under state law.11:55 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Michelle Marlowe, 35, of Mercer skidded on snow-covered Blacktown Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County, and rolled onto its side.2:20 a.m. Saturday — Aric Abrams, 27, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at routes 19 and 58 in Mercer, Mercer County.Saturday — A car driven by Barbara Levandoski, 21, of Saxonburg struck an embankment on Spring Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Levandoski, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.2:50 p.m. Dec. 30 — A pickup truck driven by Robert Wenzel of Jackson Center and a sport utility vehicle driven by Christopher Geibel, 18, of Grove City collided at Cranberry and George Junior roads in Pine Township, Mercer County.Geibel was thrown out of his vehicle after it rolled over, police said. He and Wenzel, neither wearing seat belts, were taken to Grove City Medical Center and later flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh Their conditions were not known this morning.Dec. 30 — A utility trailer was taken between Dec. 26 and 30 from the East Gilmore Road home of John Lawrence in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.

Sunday — Someone vandalized a mailbox at the Fairview Road home of Josephine Jones in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
