Thomas Jr. and Bonnilyn Costa of Eau Claire celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 4 with a surprise dinner at the Red Lobster restaurant. The event was hosted by their children.

The former Bonnilyn Logan married Costa on Dec. 3, 1955, at the Eau Claire Bethel Methodist Church.

They have three children, John Costa of West Sunbury, Crystal Stewart of Butler and Tammy Conn of West Sunbury.

They also have four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Costa is retired from his job as a pipe fitter at Indspec Chemical. He belongs to the Eau Claire Bethel United Methodist Church, Parker-Allegheny Masonic Lodge 521 and the Eau Claire Borough Council.

Mrs. Costa is retired from the Washington Elementary School, where she worked as a lunch monitor. She belongs go the Eau Claire Bethel United Methodist Church and the O.E.S. Parker Lodge 70.
