Dennis and Elaine Gaiser of Petrolia celebrated 40 years of marriage recently. A family dinner is planned during the Christmas season.

The former Elaine Follstaedt married Gaiser on Dec. 18, 1965, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Hannahstown.

They have two children, Chad Gaiser of Douglassville and Gwen Gaiser of Washington, D.C. They also have two grandchildren.

Gaiser is retired after working as a mathematics teacher for 32 years. While working as a teacher, he served as a basketball, track and cross country coach. He is a PIAA basketball official and participates in horseshoe and duckpin bowling leagues. He is a member of the Karns City United Methodist Church in Karns City.

Mrs. Gaiser has worked as a registered nurse for 44 years. She is currently employed in the office of Dr. Samuel Han Internal Medicine in Butler. She enjoys baking gardening, crafts and reading and is an active member of the Butler Nurse's Alumni Association. She belongs to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
