Wilbert and Phyllis Bonzo of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a trip to Lancaster to see a production of "Miracle of Christmas." A family dinner is planned Dec. 28 at Rose Haven in Butler.

The former Phyllis Bowser married Bonzo on Dec. 10, 1955, at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City.

They have two children, Denise Lyle of West Newton and David Bonzo of Fredericksburg, Va.

They also have six grandchildren.

Bonzo is retired from Mine Safety Appliance in Callery, where he worked as a supervisor. He is a veteran of the Korean War.

Mrs. Bonzo is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Mars Alliance Church, where Mr. Bonzo serves as an elder and Mrs. Bonzo teaches adult Sunday school.
