Humble 50th anniversary

Robert and Shirley Humble of Cranberry Township celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner and gathering at the home of their son Alan Humble.

The former Shirley Wachob married Humble on Dec. 3, 1955, at the Methodist Church in Punxsutawney.

They have three sons, Alan Humble and Kevin Humble, both of Cranberry Township and Douglas Humble of Beaver Falls.

They also have five grandchildren.

Humble retired from St. John's Care Center in 1999 after 13 years. He also worked for the American Bridge Company for 31 years and as a welder, retiring in 1984. He belongs to the American Legion and enjoys sports and hunting.

Mrs. Humble retired from the Seneca Valley School District after 29 years in the cafeteria at Rowan School. She also served as manager of the cafeteria for 12 years. She participates in a card club and enjoys bowling.

The couple belongs to Dutilh United Methodist Church.
