Margaret L. Alcorn

Margaret L. "Peggy" Alcorn, 69, of Erie, formerly of the Wesley area of Venango County, died Tuesday at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, after a long illness.

Born in Grove City, Sept. 20, 1936, she was the daughter of Clara L. Morter McFeaters and the late James E. McFeaters.

She graduated from Wesley High School and was a custodian at Grove City College and at Kennametal in Slippery Rock.

Mrs. Alcorn was an active member at the Barkeyville United Methodist Church and was on its hospitality committee.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Alcorn, whom she married Sept. 24, 1954; and five children, Debbie Alcorn, Marcia Cass, Doug Alcorn and Pam Kindle, all of Erie, and Marv Alcorn of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers also survive.

Three brothers preceded her in death.

ALCORN — Friends of Margaret L. "Peggy" Alcorn, who died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the LARRY E. MCKINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Barkeyville United Methodist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jack Patterson, a retired Methodist minister, will officiate. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
