Joe and Mary Acquaviva of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage recently.

The former Mary Glaviano married Acquaviva on Nov. 13, 1940, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have two sons, Joseph Acquaviva of Ogunquit, Maine, and Richard Acquaviva of Davenport, Iowa.

They also have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Acquaviva retired from Armco in 1980 after 41 years of work in the Silicon Department. He is a member of the Sons of Italy.

Mrs. Acquaviva is a homemaker. She belongs to the Cubs Auxiliary.

The couple belongs to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where they are active in the 55 and Alive group.
