Saturday — Brian Chupka, 38, of Connoquenessing was charged with bad checks for allegedly bouncing a $398 check on Sept. at Flynn's Tire on North Main Street.8:26 p.m. Wednesday — Jeffrey Alan Smith, 33, of Butler was arrested for theft after allegedly breaking into vehicles on North Bluff Street.Police caught Smith following a short foot chase. He was allegedly found with some of the property stolen from the vehicles. He is charged with theft from a motor vehicle.Meanwhile, anyone in the area of North Bluff Street who had property taken from his vehicle on Saturday is asked to call police at 724-287-7743.

1:20 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Janet Skunda, 39, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Michael Edinger, 58, no address, collided on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.10 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Terry Aspinwall, 44, of Prospect struck a mailbox and utility pole along Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.2:17 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Laura Patterson, 19, of Cabot struck a utility pole along Route 356 in Summit Township. Patterson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries, She was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.8:10 p.m. Saturday — Edward Okain, 51, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.8:10 p.m. Saturday — Pickup trucks driven by Timothy Brandon, no age given, and Kevin Ondriezek, no age given, both of Slippery Rock, collided on Route 108 and West Park Road in Worth Township. Brandon was taken with unknown injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.1:28 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Gregory Bryan, 48, of West Sunbury struck the rear of a mini-van at Route 68 and Spithaler School Road in Forward Township. Bryan was cited for careless driving. Timothy Crawford, 59, of Mars was driving the van.6:35 p.m. Friday — A tractor-trailer driven by Ben Atkins, 26, of Lakewood, Ohio, and a car driven by Heather Osche, 31, of Summit Township collided on Route 2004 in Summit Township. Osche, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered unknown injuries.4:15 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Betty Morrison, 64, no address given, and a pickup truck driven by Thomas Gales, 53, no address given, collided at Harmony and Branchton roads in Slippery Rock Township.Morrison, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter with moderate head and neck injuries to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Her condition was not known this morning.2:10 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Christopher Prokay, 19, of Karns City and a sport utility vehicle driven by Steven Trimbur, 62, of Butler collided on Route 68 in Chicora.9:50 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Kathleen Gildersleeve, 55, of Baden, Beaver County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Friday — A jar of money and a camcorder were taken between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. in a burglary at the Venango Lane home of Brenda Davis in Connoquenessing Township.Friday — A handgun and about $150 in currency were taken between 8:30 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. in a burglary at the Little Creek Road home of Jane Hixson in Connoquenessing Township.5:20 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Jarrod Miller, 24, of Butler and John Butts, 24, of Saxonburg collided at South Rebecca Street and Home Drive in Saxonburg.2:50 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by two Butler girls, who police did not identify, collided on Dinnerbell Road near Frazier Road in Jefferson Township.9:10 p.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Shannon Otte, 22, of Butler was traveling on Euclid Road in Clay Township when it struck the rear of an SUV driven by Thomas Martsolf, 41, no address given, who slowed because of a deer on the road. Otte, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Tuesday — Ashley Hartman, 23, of Worth Township reported the theft of her mailbox filled with mail from her residence at 110 Whitestown Village between 10 p.m. Nov. 26 and 1 p.m. Nov. 27.

12:30 a.m. Friday — Taylor Kennedy-Townsend, 19, of Templeton was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and several minor traffic violations after driving his vehicle through the yard of Donna Fennell, 38, on Craigsville Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Fennell called police after Kennedy-Townsend and his passenger, Jennifer Kladny, 36, of Kittanning, began pounding on Fennell's door, screaming at Fennell and her live-in boyfriend, Larry Kladny, 35. While searching Kennedy-Townsend, police found a marijuana pipe in his front pants pocket.Jennifer Kladny, owner of the vehicle, was charged with permitting violation and harassment. Larry Kladny was charged with harassment.

10:45 p.m. Saturday — A 17-year-old male walked away from George Junior Republic, a juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police believe the black male, who is 5-feet-2 and weighs 100 pounds, may be staying with friends in the Grove City area. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call police at 724-662-6162.5:09 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Christine Zook, 53, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.4:30 a.m. Saturday — A truck driven by Robert Frisk, 24, of Laurel, Md., was traveling on Route 258 in Liberty Township when it left the road and hit a ditch and a utility pole before rolling onto its roof. Frisk was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Frisk was cited for careless driving.6:59 a.m. Wednesday — A van driven by Margaret Everall, 56, of Butler and an SUV driven by Linda Measel, 50, of Jackson Center collided at the intersection of Route 173 and Scrubgrass Road in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, were taken by Superior Ambulance to United Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.State police were assisted by Pine Township police, who provided traffic control. Everall was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
