Thursday — Larry Masella, 53, of Slippery Rock Township was arrested for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order issued to his former girlfriend, Jean Fleischer, 36, no address given.Fleischer told police she was driving on Hansen Avenue about 11 a.m. when she spotted Masella in a vehicle following her car. She said he pulled along the road when she stopped for gas, and honked his horn at her when she left the store parking lot.Police later arrested Masella for indirect criminal contempt.Thursday — Police charged Harry King, 21, of Butler Township in a hit-and-run crash in the city about 11 a.m. Saturday. Police said King allegedly hit a mail truck and drove off. Edward Kondek, 48, of Butler Township was driving the truck but was not hurt.King is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and driving without a license.2:01 a.m. Nov. 24 — Michael Bogacki, 24, of Penn Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a sport utility vehicle parked on West Cunningham Street.In addition to DUI, Bogacki is charged with accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle. George Early of Hilliards owns the SUV.12:10 p.m. Nov. 23 — A pickup truck driven by Russell McCartney, 38, of Fairview Township and a car driven by James Grippo, 25, of Butler Township collided at Jefferson and Washington streets.

8:29 a.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Carol Barber, 48, of Evans City and Ruth Ferko, 43, of Center Township collided on Little Creek Road. Few accident details were immediately available, however, one of the drivers was taken for treatment by Harmony EMS to UPMC Passavant Cranberry.7:50 p.m. Monday — Douglas Hilf, 33, of Zelienople reported that his wallet was taken from his locker while he was working out at the Southwest Butler County YMCA on Route 19. The thief made off with $5 cash and numerous credit cards.8:29 a.m. Saturday — Jacob David Watson, 18, of Pittsburgh was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Route 19.1:41 a.m. Nov. 19 — Andrew Smith, 18, of Evans City was traveling on Route 68 near the intersection of Textor School Road when he blacked out, he told police. His vehicle traveled across both lanes before hitting an embankment. Police believe Smith could have fallen asleep at the wheel. He was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.4:20 p.m. Nov. 18 — Someone broke into the Zehner School Road home of Marie Knapp and took about $200.8:15 a.m. Nov. 18 — Seneca Valley School District Intermediate High School Assistant principal Robert Raso reported that memory sticks were taken from the school's computer laboratory between Nov. 14 and 17. The property is valued at more than $1,000.6:27 a.m. Nov. 15 — A car driven by Chad Schooley, 19, of Harmony rolled onto its side on Pattison Street Extension. Police cited Schooley for driving too fast for conditions..

Thursday — A .30-.30 Marlin lever-action rifle and stereo speakers were taken between 3:45 and 7:30 a.m. from a car on New Castle Road home in Muddy Creek Township. Larry Bollinger of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, owns the vehicle.Thursday — Ashley Kowal-Griffin of Cooperstown said an unidentified vehicle between 3 and 5 p.m. struck her pickup truck parked at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.11:30 a.m. Wednesday — David Sherman, 42, was arrested for allegedly hiding a fugitive at his West North Street apartment in Butler.Police said they found Jamie John, no age or address given, hiding behind a bathtub. John is wanted on a warrant for burglary. She was arrested along with Sherman, who is charged with hindering apprehension.5:40 p.m. Sunday — A van driven by Todd Felsing, 33, of Valencia struck the rear of a car on Route 8 near Mercer Road in Center Township. The car, driven by Gary Peters, 48, of Delmont, Westmoreland County, was pushed into the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by John Johnston, 42, of New Castle.Police cited Felsing for an undisclosed traffic violation.8 p.m. Nov. 23 — A car driven by Bryan Presco, 37, of Center Township crashed over an embankment, hit a tree stump and sideswiped another tree at Stanley and Fernwood drives in Center Township
