4:28 p.m. Monday — Gilmore Hilliard, 42, of Butler Township was injured when his bicycle collided with a car on Pillow Street.Onlookers told police that Hilliard crossed in front of a parked truck and struck the side of a Toyota Solara driven by Liane Spears, 28, of Butler. The collision knocked Hilliard off his bike. He was taken with moderate injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. His condition was not known this morning.Police cited Hilliard for failing to yield the right-of-way when crossing a road.
10:38 a.m. Wednesday — A mini-van driven by Shirley Young, no age given, and a car driven by Jeff Miller, no age given, both of Butler, collided at Route 8 and Glenwood Way in Center Township. Police said Miller suffered moderate injuries and Young suffered minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Young was cited for running a red light.Wednesday — A blue 2001 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle and a red and black 1996 Honda CR500 dirt bike were taken between Monday and Wednesday from a garage in a burglary at the Star Grille Road home of Stanley Himelinski in Winfield Township. Also taken in the break-in were assorted power tools, sockets and a brown hunting jacket.Wednesday — A .22-caliber Sterling pistol was taken from the glove box of a car on Herman Road in Clearfield Township. Owner Paul Edwards Sr. told police the theft occurred between November 2004 and Wednesday. The pistol is nickel-plated with black, plastic handgrips, and was in a leather holster.8:45 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Don Abdool, 39, of Ontario, Canada, struck and damaged about 100 feet of guardrail along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Tuesday — The rear window of a car was broken between 6 and 7:30 p.m. along County Line Road in Clearfield Township and a .30-06 Remington rifle was taken. John Duttry of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, owns the rifle, which is black with a black stock.
