Victor J. Weisenstein

Victor James "Jim" Weisenstein, 69, of Butler died Thursday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 3, 1936, in Butler, he was a son of Victor C. and E. Julia French Weisenstein.

He was a truck driver, having worked for Bill Cook Trucking, Crevar Brothers Trucking, and Gaiser Trucking for 40 years, until retiring.

He was an avid NASCAR fan, collected NASCAR memorabilia, and had enjoyed going to the races. He also was a baseball and football fan.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Prokopchak Weisenstein, whom he married Jan. 12, 1955; two daughters, Mrs. James (Victoria) Robertson of Cowansville and Rebecca Crevar of Butler; a brother, William Weisenstein of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, N. Sue Davidson of Medina, Ohio; six grandchildren; a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

WEISENSTEIN — There will be no visitation for Victor James "Jim" Weisenstein, who died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. Private services will be held for the family. Cremation services are provided by the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham S.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Duff Road, Suite 304, Pittsburgh, PA 15235, or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio, 44720.
