12:32 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Nicholas Newcaster II, 35, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, skidded off ice-covered Morton Avenue and struck a guardrail.

7 p.m. Sunday — John Lorenz Jr., no age given, of Clearfield Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 2010 in Winfield Township.5:15 p.m. Saturday — Jerry Lemasters, 49, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting Susan Cherbonneau, 52, of Butler at the S & S Market in Franklin Township. Police said Lemasters punched and kicked the woman several times. He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.2:30 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified vehicle between 2:30 and 3 p.m. struck numerous mailboxes along St. Joe Road in Oakland Township and did not stop following the crash.Noon Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Mark Reed, no age given, of Petrolia struck a tree along Bruin Road near Sand Road in Parker Township.12:30 a.m. Saturday — Michael Lewis Frederick, 40, of Evans City was arrested for allegedly assaulting Wendy Schmitt, no age given, of Evans City at a Margaret Avenue home in Forward Township. Frederick is charged with simple assault and harassment.Saturday — A reportedly stolen white, 1994 Chevrolet Camaro was found about 5:25 p.m. on Sunset Road in Center Township. Matt and Adam Pry, both of Butler, told police the car was taken between 10:50 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday from Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township.Saturday — Several pieces of jewelry were taken in a burglary at the Upper Harmony Road home of Emily Heitzer in Connoquenessing Township.1:50 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Glenda Yurga, 55, of Eau Claire skidded off snow- and ice-covered Petrolia Road in Fairview Township, struck an embankment and guardrail and rolled onto its roof.12:25 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Beverly Ozga, 57, of Harrisville struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Campground Road in Marion Township. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:10 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by David Medve, 40, of Cinnaminson, N.J., skidded on ice-covered Route 8 near Muddy Creek Drive in Clay Township, crossed the centerline and collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Angie Davis, 24, of Slippery Rock.Both drivers and Steven Medve, 44, of Jonesboro, Ga., a passenger in the pickup, all wearing seat belts, were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Nov. 19 — Ronald Hayes reported that two .44-caliber black powder pistols were stolen from his Keck Road home in Summit Township. Hays told police the theft occurred between Sept. 19 and Nov. 19.Nov. 19 — Matt McDonald of Chicora reported that between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 19 someone punctured four tires on his vehicle on Center Drive in Oakland Township. The damage was estimated at $440.

3:45 p.m. Sunday — Five people including three children were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Madison Township, Clarion County.Police said the crash occurred when a van driven by Penny Vereb, 43, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Cindy Walters, 26, both of Rimersburg collided at Route 861 and Flick Road.Walters and two children in her SUV, a 14-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl, suffered moderate injuries. All three were flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.Vereb and an 11-year-old girl in Walters' vehicle were taken by ambulance with minor injuries to Clarion Hospital. Police said Walters and three girls in her vehicle were not wearing seat belts. Vereb was wearing a seat belt.9:30 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Shirley Horner, 59, of Kittanning and a pickup truck driven by William Ludwig, 48, of Evans City collided at Routes 422 and 210 in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County.Victor Frampton, 82, of Creekside, Indiana County, a passenger in Horner's car, was treated for moderate injuries at Indiana Hospital. Police cited Horner for running a red light.Friday — A large Craftsman toolbox containing numerous sockets was taken from a garage in a burglary at the Center Hill Road home of Russell Bittinger in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. The property, valued at $3,000, was stolen between Oct. 25 and Friday.

7 p.m. Nov. 20 — Darlene Rocco, 49, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence after she allegedly sideswiped a state police cruiser on Route 58 in Findley Township, Mercer County.
