6:45 p.m. Monday — Three youths, who police did not identify, were charged with shoplifting undisclosed items from the JC Penney store, Clearview Mall in Center Township.Sunday — Elsie Wight of Butler said someone between 3:30 and 5:10 p.m. stole her purse from her car in the Sears parking lot at the Clearview Mall.Saturday — An unknown thief between 5 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday stole an undisclosed amount of lumber and insulation from a home under construction on Kreiss Road across from the Army National Guard in Connoquenessing Township. Ronald Boy of Boyers is building the house.Friday — An unknown burglar between 10 and 10:30 p.m. cut a hole through a wall at the Trader Horn on Route 8 in Penn Township. The burglar set off the alarm after entering the building, and fled. It was not immediately known if anything was taken in the break-in.Friday — Ron Ellenberger of East Butler said someone Thursday or Friday stole his wallet from his car on Broadway Avenue in East Butler.Nov. 8 — Seven used car batteries valued at 50 cents each were taken between Oct. 1 and Nov. 8 from a Barron Road junk yard owned by Russell Giffin in Worth Township.
