Helen E. Hafner

Helen E. Hafner, 91, of Bradys Bend, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, and Monroe, Mich., died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1914, in Kaylor, the daughter of John and Frances C. Polaski Deitz.

She had worked at the Red Man Tobacco Co. in Toledo, Ohio, as a packer for 20 years. She also worked at Chrysler Corp. in Toledo on the assembly line for three years and at Toledo Porcelain for eight years.

Mrs. Hafner was a member at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Young at Heart Group at the church.

She is survived by two sisters, Rose C. Bratkovich of Chicora and Catherine Grazioli of Bradys Bend, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Hafner; a stepdaughter; two sisters, and two brothers.

HAFNER - Friends of Helen E Hafner, who died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at theCHARLES B. BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Ditto as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.A parish prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
