William C. Williams

William Charles Williams, 66, of 672 Franklin Road, Slippery Rock, died Monday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Aspinwall.

Born in McConnells Mill, Lawrence County, May 26, 1939, he was the son of the late James R. Williams and Anna Marie Hardisky.

He was a 1957 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and retired as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed horse racing, playing cards and mechanical work.

Mr. Williams was affiliated with the Harrisville Branch Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia A. West Williams, whom he married May 27, 1977; a daughter, Amanda Jane Williams of Slippery Rock; two stepdaughters, Gwen West of Slippery Rock and Robin Smith of Durham, N.C.; a stepson, William Bryan West of Slippery Rock; a brother, Thomas Williams of Volant; and a sister, Betty Lange of Slippery Rock. Seven grandchildren also survive.

An infant son and a brother preceded him in death.

<B>WILLIAMS</B> - Friends of William Charles Williams, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Dumont officiating. Burial will be at Slippery Rock Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the H. John Heinz III Progressive Care Center, Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15240.
