Tuesday — Jeremy Clair, 13, of 301 Bessemer Ave., Lyndora, was hit by a car driven by Dana Brewer, 24, of 151 Catalpa Road, Chicora, on New Castle Road after he ran into the street from behind another car. After the accident, the boy stood up and walked from the scene. The youngster later was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
2:24 a.m. Thursday — Nancy Mills, 48, of Butler, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after police stopped her vehicle on South Eberhart Road for erratic driving.
6:45 a.m. Tuesday — Preston Bartmas, 22, of Butler was in possession of drug paraphernalia when he was arrested on North Monroe Street on several warrants.2 p.m. Oct. 25 — Someone damaged the yard and bushes of Orvel Seal, 72, of 207 Keck Road in Summit Township between Oct. 11 and 25.8:40 p.m. Wednesday — Janelle Myers, 20, of Butler lost control of her 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer and struck a guardrail on Route 68 at Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. Myers and her 2-year-old passenger were not injured in the accident.8 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Karen Ann Bauthier, 22, of Beaver Falls struck the front of a car driven by Christopher Alan Dunn, 22, of Mercer, as he pulled onto Kiester Road from Cameron Drive in Slippery Rock Township. No one was injured in the accident.Monday — Someone entered the Freeport Road home of Nadine Wise and stole an undisclosed amount of money and a wedding ring between Nov. 4 and Monday.2 p.m. Sunday — Someone broke into the Valley Dam Sportsman Association at 345 Old Brick Road in Washington Township and stole a case of Pepsi and about a half-case of beer. A fire extinguisher also was discharged. The association also reported on a previous incident, in which two ladders, lumber and a shirt were taken. Police estimated the loss at about $600.10:45 a.m. Monday — Someone stole the inspection and emissions stickers from a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Teresa Heusey, 45, of Pittsburgh. The car was parked at Campus Side Apartments in Slippery Rock Township.7:07 p.m. Sunday — James Marvin McGallis, 47, of Butler was arrested for drunken driving on Route 356 in Summit Township.Wednesday — Michael Kaufman, 74, of Pittsburgh reported that someone broke into his garage on Merriman Drive in Muddy Creek Township and stole a 9.9-hp boat motor and several other items.
2:30 p.m. Sunday — Ronald Leroy Haught, 16, of Cowansville sustained minor injuries after wet road conditions caused him to lose control of his car while making a turn on Hindman Hill Road in West Franklin Township, causing him to hit a fence post. Haught's passengers, Cameron Bryan, 16, of Kittanning and Zack Joy, 16, of Worthington, were not injured in the accident. All three were wearing their seatbelt.
5 p.m. Sept. 1 — Anthony Mezerkor, of Andover, Ohio, was arrested after he bought a car on Sept. 1 from Grove City Auto Mart in Grove City and gave false information on his credit application. He refused to return the car and it was ultimately recovered in Jefferson Township, Mercer County. Mezerkor was arrested without incident and arraigned by District Judge Lawrence Silvis.He was taken to Mercer County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 16.12:40 p.m. Tuesday — Brian Matthew Courtney, 20, or Mercer was charged with theft after removing the cellophane wrapper and the CD from a plastic case without paying for it at Music For A Song in the Prime Outlets, Springfield Township.3:30 p.m. Wednesday — Three juveniles tried to steal several items from the Trader Horn on Route 58 in Pine Township. The total value of the items is $75.95.
