Donald and Olive Knox of Bruin celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner recently at the Fairview Township Municipal Building.

The former Olive Double married Knox on Oct. 29, 1955, at First English Lutheran Church in Chicora.

They have five children, Karen Campbell, Nancy Saylor and Peggy Emery, all of Bruin, and Donna Bailey and Donald Knox, both of Chicora.

They also have 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Knox worked as an instrument tech for Penreco.

Mrs. Knox is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.
