6:42 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Harry Cunningham, 57, and Melissa Eury, 18, of Clearfield Township collided at West New Castle and Mercer streets. Eury, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Cunningham was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.Tuesday — Police charged Deshundra Houston, 22, of Butler in connection with a Sunday assault in the city that injured Tomika Cottrill, 24, of Butler. Houston is charged with simple assault in the case. Houston and Cottrill are sisters, according to a police report.10:41 p.m. Sunday — A Butler woman was injured when her car struck a bank building following a two-vehicle crash at North Main and East Jefferson streets.Melissa Silk, 27, suffered moderate injuries in the crash when her car collided with a van driven by Anne Rivero, 17, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County. The collision pushed Silk's car over the sidewalk and into the front doors of the National City Bank building on North Main Street.Rivero's van, meanwhile, was forced into a light pole, following the collision.Silk, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Her condition was not known this morning. Police cited Rivero with running a red light.
2:40 p.m. Monday — An unidentified maroon, Kenworth tractor-trailer struck a light post at Route 356 and Mulone Drive and did not stop. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 724-295-9500.
6:55 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by an unidentified 17-year-old from Slippery Rock, who police did not identify, struck a tree along Yellow Creek Road in Muddy Creek Township.5:30 p.m. Monday — Richard Bell, 59, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle struck two parked cars at a Route 108 parking lot in Slippery Rock Township.11:45 a.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by James Tement, 76, of Kittanning struck a guide rail at Routes 1021 and 830 in Donegal Township.
10:07 a.m. Thursday— Jason A. Mignanelli, 22, of 427 E. New Castle St., Zelienople, reported someone broke into his vehicle parked along Park Way overnight and took a compact disc case with 50 discs and a shoulder brief case containing personal items. The value of the items taken was unknown.8:53 a.m. Thursday — A police patrol found a vehicle owned by Bonnie Mignanelli, no age available, of 427 E. New Castle St., Zelienople, had its passenger window broken out, and a soft brief case containing hair salon equipment was taken overnight from the vehicle parked near the residence. The value of the items taken was unknown.9:53 a.m. Oct. 22 — Vincent G. Burgess, 43, of 207 S. Division St., Zelienople, reported the passenger side window of his vehicle was smashed while parked along Division Street.3:07 p.m. Oct. 22 — Vehicles driven by Gary James Vaughan, 22, of 121 Old Furnace Road, Fombell, Beaver County, and Jennifer A. Ondek, 61, of 115 N. Clay St., Zelienople, collided near the intersection of West New Castle Street and South Green Lane. No injuries were reported.
