Pflueger 90th birthday
Hugo Pflueger of Sarver, will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house hosted by his son and daughter-in-law on Nov. 13 at St. Luke's Centennial Hall, State Street, Saxonburg.
Pflueger was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Luverne, Iowa. He married Elizabeth Muder on Sept. 1, 1939. She is deceased.
He has a son, William Pflueger of Saxonburg, three grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pflueger retired from Pflueger's Barber Shop in Saxonburg, where he worked as a barber. A veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater.
He is a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. The Saxonburg American Legion, the Saxonburg VFW, Worthington Golf League, Armstrong Lodge 239, New Castle Consistory and Syria Shrine.
