Eugene and Margaret Cupps of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a reception for family and friends recently at the Lake Arthur Country Club.

The former Margaret Lawrence and Cupps were married in the Byzantine Rite on Sept. 24, 1955, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

They have five children, Susan Bimle of Pittsburgh; Dolores Marchinoski, Johanna Cupps-Boyd and Christine Cupps-Bosak, all of Butler; and Denise Cupps of Marquette, Mich.

They also have a grandson and two step-grandchildren.

Cupps retired from Armco in 1992. He enjoys golf and gardening and is a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Mrs. Cupps retired from Dollar Savings Bank in 1988. She belongs to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora where she is active in the ladies guild. She enjoys bowling and is an active member of the YMCA.
