"MonsterFest" (AMC, Channel 45):This year's skin-crawling lineup lasts 24/7 all the way through Sunday and includes such classic tales of horror as "Hellraiser," "Carrie," "Friday the 13th" and "Pet Sematery," plus a good chunk of all those endless sequels."Spotlight: Alfred Hitchcock" (TCM, Channel 56):A marathon of classic Hitchcock films including "North by Northwest," "Rear Window" and "The Birds."
"The Haunting" (8 p.m. Discovery, Channel 18):A series about paranormal events told by the people who lived through them, starting with a family that finds out its new dream home is a nightmare."The Secret Life of Vampires"(8 p.m. A&E, Channel 28): Grab a Bloody Mary, visit Dracula's birthplace and get an inside look at how modern-day vampires operate."I Shouldn't Be Alive" (9 p.m. Discovery, Channel 18):This series, which tells the true stories of people who survived death-defying ordeals, kicks off with "Blood in the Water," about a five-member boat crew that meets a violent storm and ends up in a life raft surrounded by sharks and with no food or water."Masters of Horror" (10 p.m. Showtime, Channel 14):This 13-part anthology is a series of new, original horror films directed by a handful of prominent directors of the genre, including John Carpenter ("Halloween," "The Thing"), Tobe Hooper ("Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Poltergeist") and John Landis ("An American Werewolf in London"). The films will be repeated throughout the weekend.
