Paul and Margaret "Peg" Simmer of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house Saturday at the VFW Hall in Butler.

The former Margaret Deahl married Simmer on Oct. 26, 1945, at Grace Methodist Church in Wilmington, Del.

They have three children, Rodney Simmer of Warren, Ohio; Jared Simmer of Pittsburgh; and Deborah Young of Butler.

They also have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Simmer is retired from the Chem Lab at Armco Steel. He enjoys golf.

Mrs. Simmer is a homemaker. She enjoys baking.

The couple also enjoys bowling.
