George W. Hays
George W. Hays, 80, of 114 Heim Ave. died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler Feb. 10, 1925, he was the son of Robert P. and Rosey Taylor Hays.
Mr. Hays was the owner of H & B Sales and Service in Butler for 30 years. He was a veteran of World Wwa II. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 279, the Sons of Italy and a life member of the Disabled American Vets.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie T. Skal Hays, to whom he was married for 56 years; eight sons, Roberto Hays of Butler, Donald Hays of Belgium, Darrell Hays of Herman, George "Shorty" Hays, Raymond Hays, Robert "Bob" Hays, Charles "Chuck" Hays and Kenneth "Ken" Hays, all of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis Carol Wiles, Mrs. James Georgia Gall and Mrs. William Connie Huffman of Butler; 21 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Mr. Hays was preceded in death by a son; three brothers; two sisters; and several grandchildren.
<B>HAYS</B> - Friends of George W. Hays, who died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Members of St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Monday to recite the rosary.
