Whether preparing for a house of ghosts and goblins, or making scary school snacks, Halloween treats should be both fun and frightening.

For the best Halloween party, let the children do the work. Decorating with bright frostings and mixing up a glowing green punch, they'll be proud of their spooky spread.

Scary sandwiches, painted with ghosts and ghouls, make a quick and spirited dinner before a night of trick-or-treating.

Go from everyday to eerie with this twist on breadsticks.1 can (11 ounces) refrigerated breadsticksSliced almondsRed food coloringPrepare breadsticks according to package directions.Dip sliced almonds into food color. Press an almond into one end of each breadstick to resemble a fingernail.Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Bake and serve.
