Joan F. Hallisey Nebel

Joan F. Hallisey Nebel, 76, of Hopewell Township, Beaver County, died Saturday at the Medical Center, Beaver.

Born Dec. 4, 1928, she was the daughter of Dennis and Mary Davies Hallisey.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Hopewell Township, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Christian Mothers. She also was a Eucharistic minister.

Mrs. Nebel belonged to the Red Hat Society and was an avid card player.

She is survived by four sons, Dennis W. Nebel and his wife, Marilyn J., of New Castle, Claude J. Nebel Jr. and his wife, Pamela L., of Berlin, Germany, Timothy E. Nebel and his wife, Tamie L., of Mifflinville, Columbia County, and David J. Nebel of Hopewell Township; and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Scott, Megan, Matthew, Andrew, Michael and Gregory Nebel. A sister, Denise A. Vojtasko and her husband. Stephen, of Myerstown, Lebanon County; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Nebel Sr.; and two sisters, Margaret Mary Hatfield and Patricia M. Titler.

NEBEL - Friends of Joan F. Hallisey Nebel, who died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hurricane Katrina Fund, c/o American Red Cross, Beaver-Lawrence County Chapter, 133 Friendship Circle, Beaver, PA 15009.Information also is available at www.darrochfuneralhome.com.
