Butler County Community College won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference women's volleyball championship Wednesday, defeating Community College of Beaver County 30-19, 30-15, 30-16.

The win marked the Pioneers' fourth straight WPCC title and completed their second consecutive unbeaten conference season.

Krista Ebner had 14 kills and 11 digs for BCCC (27-7, 17-0) with Autumn Burke adding nine kills and digs. Tawnie Osborne had 15 assists and 11 digs.

Stephanie Lawson added 22 digs and Angel Shaw five kills.

Burke, Ebner, Osborne and Lawson were named all-conference. Osborne and Lawson are freshmen from Calvary Academy.

The Pioneers host EPCC champion Harrisburg Community College at noon Saturday for the state championship.

Slippery Rock University (3-1) closed out the fall portion of its schedule Tuesday with a 7-2 win at Grove City.Senior Ashley Michaux and freshman Kayla Blackburn combined for an 8-1 win at doubles and won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.Kelli Parnell and Sarah Karagianis combined for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles and won at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

Nick Bolea and Brad Zangle claimed singles for SRU, but the Rock (1-3) dropped a 7-2 decision to Grove City.
