Thursday - Keith R. Pack, 27, of Butler was charged with attempted robbery and arraigned before District Judge Pete Shaffer before being placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of bond. While interviewed by police, Pack confessed to trying to rob the Honey Bear Mart on East Jefferson Street at 5:18 a.m. Sept. 6. No weapons were displayed and no injuries occurred during the incident.2:20 p.m. Sept. 22 - While investigating a criminal mischief case, police located a Bruin man with an outstanding warrant from the Butler County Sheriff's office. David J. Myers Jr., 24, was placed in Butler County Prison. Police filed new charges of possession of offensive weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended/revoked license and providing false identification to police after officers found Myers coming out of a car on Shore Street. Amber Musgrave, 21, of Lyndora was charged with permitting violation of title for allowing Myers to drive her car without a valid license. Myers had been with Andrew Black, 18, of Chicora, who is accused of striking a vehicle with an unspecified object on Shore Street because of a dispute with that vehicle's passenger. The car sustained $601 worth of damage. Police were told Black was with Myers, who was exiting a car in which suspected marijuana was visible in the center console. Suspected marijuana also was found in a film container inside Myers' front pocket. A spring-loaded security baton was discovered under the driver's seat.Oct. 2 - Police picked up Barry Anderson, 54, of Butler at the Butler YMCA on an outstanding warrant. After being arraigned before District Judge Pete Shaffer, Anderson was released on his own recognizance.10:56 p.m. Sept. 30 - A 16-year-old male from Butler was charged with underage drinking after police responded to a complaint at 411 Shore St.

4:40 a.m. Friday - A three-vehicle accident occurred on Route 422 just west of Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. A car driven by Michael J. Geibel, 46, of Butler was northbound on a driveway that intersects Route 422 when it crossed the highway, colliding with a truck driven by Richard L. Melder, 36, of Rochester, Pa., which was traveling east on Route 422. After Geibel's car hit the right side of Melder's truck, the truck spun clockwise, crossing into the westbound lane of the highway and colliding with the front of a westbound truck driven by Melvin G. Traister, 58, of Worthington. Geibel, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, sustained a minor arm injury. Melder, also not wearing a seat belt, suffered a moderate head injury. Traister, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained a minor arm injury. Geibel was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.1:05 a.m. Saturday - A truck driven by Shannon R. Burzese, 27, struck a deer while traveling southbound on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Burzese, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained a minor injury. Her passenger, a 5-year-old boy who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. The truck was towed from the scene.2:40 a.m. Saturday - Monica Dillaman, 27, of Sarver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 356 in Winfield Township.1:50 p.m. Friday - A 13-year-old girl was charged with possession of marijuana after the drug was found in her locker at Karns City High School in Fairview Township.3:30 a.m. Friday - Amanda Shever, 18, of Butler, Adam J. Smith, 18, of Petrolia and Craig L. Young, 18, of Butler were charged with underage drinking following an incident on Whitetail Lane in Franklin Township.Tuesday - Police started an investigation into the reported assault of Tyler R. Gross, 18, of Harmony that occurred between 11 p.m. Monday and 1 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment on University Boulevard in Clarion Township. The suspect is unknown.10 p.m. Sept. 24 - An unknown suspect withdrew $122 from the checking account of Mandi Sheesman, 23, of Chicora at an automated teller machine in Indianapolis. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.
