Schar, Higgins

Michelle Schar of Harmony and Brendan Higgins of New City, N.Y., were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church in Zelienople. The Rev. John Jefferis and the Rev. Wayne Schar officiated. The couple greeted guests during a reception at Camelot in Warrendale.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Terri Schar of Harmony. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Sue Higgins of New City.

The honor attendant was Angela Schar of Harmony. Bridesmaids were Nicole Evans of Sunbury and Erin Higgins of New City. Logan Wells of Marion Center was the flower girl.

Performing the duties of best man was Ryan Higgins of New City. Ushers were Kristjan Whiteway of Lynchburg, Va., and William Schar of Harmony. The ring bearer was Garret Wells of Marion Center.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of Messiah College. She works for HZUMC Childcare Center in Zelienople.

The groom graduated in 2000 from Clarkstown South High School and in 2004 from Nyack College. He works for Cable Vision.

Following a honeymoon trip to Panama, the couple is making their home in Stony Point, N.Y.
