Grove City High School graduate Gwen Oberlin had 24 digs and Anastasia Urbanik and Jen Blasko added 12 kills each as the Slippery Rock University volleyball team fell to California (Pa.) University 3-1 Tuesday.

Lindsay Weber added 20 digs and Sara Kirsch pitched in 42 assists, 15 digs and four kills for The Rock (18-6, 2-3).

Zach Thomas recorded wins in his singles and doubles matches to lead The Rock to a 6-3 win over West Liberty State (W.Va.) College Tuesday afternoon.Thomas and partner Matt Montague won the No. 3 doubles match 8-6. Thomas then won his No. 3 singles match 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

SRU's Adam Scott and Adam Schuster each shot a 3-over-par 75 Tuesday to finish tied for 13th place at the Guy W. Kuhn Memorial Invitational at Allegheny College Tuesday.The Rock finished sixth as a team in the event.

Kelli Parnell and Sarah Karagianis combined for three wins Tuesday to lead The Rock to a 5-4 win over West Liberty State (W.Va.) College.Parnell and Karagianis won the No. 2 doubles match 8-5 and also won their singles matches.
