James "Mick" and Doris Patterson of Concordia Haven Apartments III in Cabot, formerly of Apollo, celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with an open house in the dining room at Haven III.

The former Doris Coleman married Patterson on Sept. 26, 1945, at the bride's home in West Lebanon.

They have three children, Constance Donovan of Columbia, S.C.; James Patterson of Apollo; and William Patterson of Springfield, Va. They also have four grandchildren. and four great-grandchildren.

Patterson is a retired dairy farmer and bus driver. He was also employed with the Kiski Township road crew, the Schaffer and Ray Funeral Home and the Gerald Medice Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patterson is a retired beautician.

The couple belongs to Apollo United Presbyterian Church.
