William and Mary Bellis of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Mass at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and a dinner reception for family and friends at the Elks Club.

The former Mary McDonald married Bellis on Oct. 1, 1955, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

They have four children, Rick Bellis, Bill Bellis and Kathy Bellis, all of Butler, and Susan Gillespie of Madison, Wis.

Bellis is retired from Armco. He enjoys hunting.

Mrs. Bellis is a homemaker and former employee at Fashion Bug. She enjoys golfing.

The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
