11:34 a.m. Friday - Faith Blair, 36, of Chicora reported the theft of her purse from her car that was parked on North Main Street.2:29 a.m. Saturday - William J. Cramer, 23, of Butler was charged with simple assault after police responded to a 911 call from his wife, Alicia Cramer, 22. at a Franklin Street residence, where she called from. The couple live at 214 N. Elm St. William Cramer was jailed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond.
Sept. 11 - Demetrius Broadnax, 18, of Monroeville was arrested for retail theft and underage drinking. The Sheetz convenience store at 103 N. Main St. reported Broadnax had left without paying for a Slim Jim beef stick. The incident was caught on surveillance tape. When police questioned, Broadnax, he had a can of beer.Sept. 8 - David Owen Stowe, 31, of 834 Black Run Road, Grove City, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Stowe had been involved in a hit-and-run crash at Ginger Hill Tavern. He fled in his vehicle, but was pursued by police. His vehicle was later found on New Castle Street. Stowe later turned himself in to police.
