Karen Lang of Saxonburg and Jason Michel of Butler exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. July 30 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. John McCloskey officiated. A reception followed at the Greenwood Village Fire Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Jack and Barb Lang of Saxonburg. Parents of the bridegroom are Dave and Linda Michel of Butler.

The honor attendant was Katie Durham of Hershey. Bridesmaids included Nicole Makin of Saxonburg and Sara Rozic of Butler. The flower girl was Brittany Michel of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Jim Michel of Butler. Ushers included Jeff Michel of Butler, Dave Reifer of Slippery Rock, Vince Lang of Winchester, Va. and John Lang of Saxonburg. The ring bearer was Gavin Reifer of Slippery Rock.

The bride graduated in 2001 from Knoch High School and in 2005 from Shippensburg University.

The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Butler High School. He works for Biofab Inc. in East Butler.

The couple is making their home in Butler after a Caribbean cruise honeymoon.
