Sarvey 65th anniversary

Marlin and Myrtle Sarvey of Prospect celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday at the United Presbyterian Church Hall in Prospect.

The former Myrtle Wolfe married Sarvey on Sept. 24, 1940, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have five children, Marlin Sarvey of Prospect, Shirley Bilowich of Butler, Peggy Goehring of Evans City, and Ruth Fisher and Tammy Stewart, both of West Sunbury.

They also have 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

Sarvey is retired from M.D. Sarvey Plumbing and Heating. He is a member of the Victory Lodge 694 F&AM, the York Right and Syria Shrine.

Mrs. Sarvey is a homemaker. She belongs to the White Shine, the Maqueda chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Prospect Women's Club.

The couple belongs to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect.
