Don and Esther Green of Evans City will celebrate 50 years of marriage Sunday with a family dinner hosted by their sons.

The former Esther Nulph married Green on Sept. 29, 1955, in Winchester, Va.

They have three sons, Doug Green of Pittsburgh; Brad Green of Warsaw, Ind.; and Donnie Green of Mars. They also have two grandchildren.

Green retired from Mine Safety Appliance in 1995 after 45 years. He worked as a human resource assistant and was involved in the Junior Achievement Program. He is a member of the MSA Golf League. Green is also a former softball umpire, former member of the MSA Bowling League and former Evans City Council member.

Mrs. Green is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Grace Church of Harmony.
