Butler rebounds with 2-0 win

The Butler boys soccer team bounced back from its first loss of the season Thursday against Seneca Valley with a 2-0 shutout over Sewickley Academy Saturday afternoon.

Ben Horner and K.J. Ludlum each scored goals for the Golden Tornado (11-1).

Karns City 10, Curwensville 0

- Chris Harmon scored three goals and Chad Zabicki and Joe Grubbs each added two more for the Gremlins.

Zach Fleeger earned the shutout in goal, his eighth straight.

Dale Grimm, Mark Ferguson and John Burns also scored goals for Karns City (8-1). The Gremlins have outscored their opponents 44-1 this season.

Harbor Creek 2, Slippery Rock 0 -

Despite 17 saves by goaltender Joe Bryan, the Rockets (6-1-1) absorbed their first loss of the season Saturday.

Slippery Rock hosts Grove City Tuesday.

Brittni Grenninger continued her torrid scoring pace with two goals as Karns City team edged Villa Maria 2-1.Allison Kepple and Julianne Scott each recorded assists for the Gremlins (8-1).
