A Sept. 30, 2006, wedding is being planned by Joann Kirkwood of Ellwood City and Steven Flanigan of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Janna Kirkwood of Ellwood City. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Patrick and Patricia Flanigan of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Riverside High School. She works in accounting for Thorn Hill Printing in Freedom.

Her fiancé graduated in 1995 from Knoch High School and in 1999 from Butler County Community College, earning an associate's degree in mechanical design. He works as a mechanical designer for The ConAir Group in Emsworth.
