12:49 a.m. Monday - Florence Baldwin, 39, was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend, Jeffrey Murray, 42, of Butler, during a domestic dispute at her East Jefferson Street apartment. Baldwin was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.2:09 a.m. Sunday - Brent Smith, 27, of Butler was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot his sister, her boyfriend, and two others at his sister's Second Street home.Police said Smith followed his sister, Katrina Smith, 23, her boyfriend Joshua Green, 23, of Butler and two others from a Butler bar back to her apartment. He allegedly barged into the apartment and threatened his sister and the others.Smith was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and defiant trespass, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.Friday - Ashley Geibel, 20, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence in connection with an Aug. 18 accident in which a car she was driving struck a utility pole on South Main Street between Patterson and Christie avenues. When police responded to the 11:16 p.m. call from a witness, the car was found unoccupied.Police said Geibel and two passengers in the car were found at a Patterson Avenue home. Geibel was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of a chin laceration and neck and back pain. A blood test was conducted at the hospital.

2:20 a.m. Saturday - Michael Motter, 28, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Fairground Hill Road.Friday - A reportedly stolen 2001 Ford F-250 pickup truck was found damaged at a Litman Road firing range.Police said thieves stole the pickup between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning from the Butler Area Sewer Authority plant on Litman Road. Authorities believe the thieves also vandalized another vehicle at the plant with spray paint.The truck was found at the nearby firing range, where it had been driven into a block wall at the range's storage building.Anyone with information about the car is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

3:59 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Deborah Czzowitz, 51, of Butler and Emilie Summerhill, 18, of Ford City, Armstrong County, collided at Geibel Road and Route 422 in Summit Township. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, were taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.9:34 p.m. Saturday - Keith Scott, 41, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped on New Castle Road in Butler Township for driving his motorcycle without his headlights on.5 p.m. Saturday - Katherine Oswalk, 65, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Whitestown Road in Lancaster Township.5 p.m. Saturday - A 17-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, who police did not identify, were cited for retail theft after allegedly shoplifting clothing at the JC Penney store in Clearview Mall in Center Township.11:05 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Kelly Zak of Prospect and a truck driven by Douglas Fleeger of Butler collided at Routes 488 and 422 in Franklin Township.2 a.m. Saturday - David Palladino, 45, of Slippery Rock was charged with assaulting Victoria Chapin, 27, of Slippery Rock at a Keister Road home in Slippery Rock.10:45 p.m. Friday - A sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Saxonburg girl, who police did not identify, and a car driven by Joshua Bender, 23, of Butler collided on Route 8 in Penn Township. Bender, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.9:10 p.m. Friday - A sport utility vehicle driven by George Vorel, 56, of Butler and a car driven by Braden Bowers, 22, of Renfrew collided on Route 68 near Kriess Road in Connoquenessing Township.Police said Vorel drove off after the crash but was stopped by Butler Township police. Bowers, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.4:35 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Amanda Heimstead, no age given, of Evans City traveled off Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township, struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof. Heimstead, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Friday - A car hood scoop and an alternator, valued at $140, were taken from a shed between Aug. 30 and Friday at the East Prairie Street home of Robert Beggs in Harrisville. Police said a 53-year-old Greenville, Mercer County, man, who they would not identify, is suspected in the theft.Thursday - Nathan Harvey, 24, of Butler was charged with stealing a rifle from Kenneth Anderson, 54, of Butler. Harvey is accused of later selling the rifle at a Butler County gun store.

5:40 p.m. Monday - Kayla Faith, no age given, of Grove City was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign after her pickup truck collided with a car at Courtney Mill Road and Route 173 in Liberty Township, Mercer County.The driver of the car, a Grove City man, and his daughter who was riding in the vehicle, were taken with minor injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City. The names of the driver and passenger, both wearing seat belts, were not available this morning.9:55 p.m. Saturday - Christine Sample, 27, of Stoneboro lost control of her car after swerving to avoid a deer on Route 173 in Sandy Lake Township, and struck a ditch.10 a.m. Wednesday - Edward Iddings, 57, reported the theft of $150 worth of scrap metal from Foster Grading on Franklin Road in Jackson Township between noon Sept. 5 and 10 a.m. Sept. 7.

2:20 a.m. Sunday - Matthew Lee Shaffer, 20, of Valencia was arrested for driving under the influence and other charges following a traffic stop on Route 268 near Route 4017 in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.Police said Shaffer, while under arrest for DUI and in a police cruiser, managed to crawl over the front seat and run from the car. He was quickly caught and taken to the barracks. Police later learned that Shaffer had provided his brother's driver's license for identification when initially stopped.In addition to DUI, Shaffer is charged with escaping from police, resisting arrest, providing false identification and several summary traffic violations, including operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Armstrong County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond.
