Knights run past 4 teams
Artie Black won his third consecutive race and Knoch's boys cross country team improved to 9-0 by sweeping four opponents Wednesday.
The Knights defeated Greensburg Salem 22-34, Freeport 20-39, Mars 16-47 and Highlands 15-48. Black completed the course in 16 minutes, 27 seconds, 10 seconds ahead of teammate Kyle Reeping.
Freeport defeated Mars 22-33 and Mars defeated Highlands 21-34.
Knoch's girls slipped to 2-7 with losses of 38-17 to Mars, 37-18 to Freeport, 49-15 to Greensburg Salem and 31-24 to Highlands.
Also, Freeport edged Mars 27-28 and Mars defeated Highlands 26-29.
