Miller 50th anniversary

James and Joan Miller of Cabot celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Caribbean cruise given by their family and taken with family. They also celebrated with friends and family at Wet 'n' Wild Amusements in Cooks Forest.

The former Joan Schiebel married Miller on June 25, 1955, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

They have three children, Debbie Marcucci and Douglas Miller, both of Butler, and James "Kevin" Miller of Cabot.

They also have six grandchildren, two step-grandsons, a great-granddaughter and two step-great-grandchildren.

Miller is retired from James D. Miller and Sons Construction.

Mrs. Miller is a homemaker.

The couple also owns Wet 'n' Wild Amusements in Cook Forest.

Both are members of the Order of the Alhambra, where Miller has served as a past Grand Commander and Mrs. Miller serves as Saltina.

The Millers belong to St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
