Robert and Carol Jones of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner with family and friends at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect.

The former Carol Stubenbardt married Jones on Aug. 27, 1955, in Prospect.

They have two children, Ronald Jones of Key West, Fla., and Cindy Jones Boice of Mars. They also have two grandchildren.

Jones is retired from the Bessemer Railroad.

Mrs. Jones is retired after 28 years as a bus driver.
