10:31 p.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Brian Barish, 26, of Jackson Center and a small truck driven by Ernest Boyd, no age given, of 410 Carbon St. collided at the intersection of Monroe and Locust streets.

In an identity theft case, an unknown person used the personal information of Carrie R. Black of Cabot to set up a telephone bill at an unknown time in 1997.7:25 p.m. Friday - A 1998 Dodge Neon driven by Barbara Carrara, 49, of Grove City rear-ended a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Richard Tribley, 32, of Transfer near milemarker 94 on Interstate 79 as traffic slowed and came to a stop. No one was injured in the crash. Police cited Carrara for traveling too closely.11:55 p.m. Friday - Elizabeth Procopio, 25, and Shelly Ballew, 42, both of 5133 Brown Road, Center Township, were arrested for simple assault after they allegedly became involved in a physical altercation at the home with Melinda L. Blank, 20, of Bruin. Both were arraigned before District Judge Kelley Streib, who placed Ballew in Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond. Procopio was released on her own recognizance.12:42 a.m. Saturday - An unknown person broke a glass door and damaged five other windows at the Dairy Queen in Worth Township, causing about $1,500 in damage.7:40 p.m. Friday - Mark D. Schenk, 45, of Petrolia was charged with driving under the influence after his 1991 Dodge, which was traveling south on Main Hill Road, went off of the road, hit a curb and overturned in the yard at 210 Main Hill Road in Fairview Township. Schenk was not injured in the crash.11:20 p.m. Friday - Brian James Shaffer, 18, of West Sunbury, is accused of criminal mischief for allegedly smashing mailboxes at 132 Coaltown Road in Slippery Rock Township.11:35 p.m. Monday - A 1991 Buick Park Avenue driven by Kenneth R. Brophy, no age given, of McCandless Road and a 1999 Nissan Sentra driven by Todd McKee, no age given, of Sunset Drive, collided at the intersection of West Brewster and Benbrook roads. As both cars approached the intersection, Brophy suddenly turned left into the path of McKee, striking him almost head-on. McKee sustained major injuries, while Brophy, who was later cited by police, sustained only minor injuries.7:10 a.m. Friday - A 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jerad R. Jewart, 18, of Chicora struck a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier on Route 268 near Karns City High School in Fairview Township after the car slowed for traffic. Police did not identify the driver or passenger of the second car. Jewart, who was adjusting his radio, struck the rear end of the Cavalier. Police later charged Jewart with possession of a small amount of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.7 p.m. Thursday - Raymond Okeson, 60, of 437 Old Route 68, Forward Township, is charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after allegedly making repeated phone calls to Butler State Police barracks and using profanity.6:25 a.m. Friday - Bruce Durst, 43, of Sarver lost control of his 1987 Honda motorcycle and slid onto his right side after he approached the intersection of Route 356 and Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township, where another motorcycle was stopped. Durst, who was wearing a helmet, sustained minor injuries.April 15 - Jesse D. Mekkish, 29, of Valvoline Road, East Butler, reported that his gun was stolen from his former residence sometime in the past year.

Wednesday - Charges of bad checks were filed against Edward F. Klein Jr., 30, of 725 Dutch Lane, Hermitage. Police said Klein issued a bad check to Grove City Beverage Aug. 16.Aug. 31 - Julie Ferguson, 22, of Fairfax, Va., was sitting in the drive-through at the McDonald's restaurant, 200 W. Main St., when a pickup truck hit her vehicle from behind and then drove off.Tuesday - Larry Snow, 33, of Grove City was arrested on a warrant from an incident that occurred Aug. 28. Snow is facing charges of disorderly conduct, reckless burning and exploding for leaving his residence while burning a large pile of clothes next to his house.Aug. 27 - Police received a report of a white Dodge Intrepid going off the road at the intersection of South Broad and East Poplar streets and striking a lawnmower owned by Raymond Stewart, 434 S. Broad St. The vehicle fled the scene.Aug. 26 - Stephen P. Glenn, 16, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly breaking into a residence at 114 N. Center St., Grove City, and assaulting Robert Herndon, 25, with a set of brass knuckles.Glenn was arraigned as an adult before District Judge Lawrence Silvis in Worth Township on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary, possessing instrument of crime, prohibited offensive weapon, criminal trespass, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.Glenn was released from Mercer County Prison after posting a $50,000 bond.
